How can we optimize the digital employee experience – also known as digital employee experience or DEX* – for employees? In collaboration with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, we investigate what a good digital employee experience is, which factors influence this and which non-technical solutions exist to improve that experience.
What do you think of the digital employee experience in your organization?
We are curious about your experiences with software and systems at work and how you would prefer to see them optimized. Complete the survey and help us map out the ideal DEX. It will take you at most 8-10 minutes.
Beyond the screen: a look at the digital employee experience
Digital tools are indispensable at work. Whether it’s reserving a meeting room, looking up a pay slip or applying for leave: we click and navigate freely on it. But we also all know the annoyance that this sometimes brings. Switching from system to system, logging in endlessly often and then not being able to find what you are looking for.
More fun, less hassle: why DEX counts
The digital employee experience is a not to be underestimated aspect for organizations. It has an impact on employee satisfaction and productivity. Dissatisfied and frustrated employees are more likely to leave the organization. In fact, research shows that a poor digital employee experience is one of the reasons for resigning.
And if that’s not reason enough, the cost savings it can provide is. Struggling through systems takes unnecessarily much precious time. And then they still call HR or it, which means that they also lose time.
It is therefore of enormous added value to improve the user experience of digital systems – and to continue to do so continuously – and to look at the use of these systems. This way you not only invest in the employees, but also in the future of the organization.
